Salvation For
All

Jesus Came For The
Sake Of All
And as Jesus sat at table in James’s house,
many tax collectors and sinners were sitting with Jesus and His disciples; for
there were many who followed Him. And
the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that He was eating with sinners and
tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and
sinners?” And when Jesus heard it, He
said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who
are sick; I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2:13-17
Explanations
Apostle Matthew: Why
did the bible authors write this?
“Those who are well
have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I came not to call the
righteous, but sinners.”?
Do they do like the Pharisees and Sadducees?
The Head: They were
writing how Jesus did his work of salvation.
Apostle Matthew: Son
of man, many Pharisees and Sadducees used this verse to battle against Jesus,
accusing Him of associating with sinners, accusing Him of doing this and that,
of doing all the things that are not supposed to be done. They were claiming to
be more righteous than the Master. They were claiming to be seniors to Jesus by
age, but they were foolish.
What they were doing was right… because they were seniors to
Jesus by age. But their age is nothing compared to eternity, because Jesus
exists from everlasting to everlasting.
The statement, “Jesus came only for the sinners” is not
true. People use this statement to encourage themselves in their bad ways of
life. Jesus did not come only for the sinners. All the things created by God,
it is because of all that Jesus came.
The Head: Thanks
be to God.
Apostle Matthew: It
should not be said that Jesus came because of the sinners only. Jesus came for
everybody, including the Saints. All are not qualified to enter heaven. If it
were not by the power of the Blood of Jesus the Saints could not have entered
heaven. We, The Twelve Apostles, were counting ourselves righteous, but we did
not know the mystery of the Blood of Jesus. Many laws which ourselves put in
place were working against the laws of God, and ourselves did not know it. We
were counting ourselves as Saints, then. And we were counting that ourselves shall go to heaven. Have you seen it?
So, shall it be that Jesus came for the sinners only?
The Head: No.
Apostle Matthew: All
the things which God created needs salvation, including the sinners and the
Saints, because nobody is able to go up to heaven if not by the Blood of Jesus.
In Parables
Apostle Matthew: Jesus
was speaking to the multitudes in parables, which themselves could not explain.
They claimed to be wise, that themselves know
everything about God. They were judging. This expression and word, Jesus came
for the sinners only, is a proverb to all those who are seeking for the Holy
Spirit.
